The Planet owns and operates a state of the art data center located in Dallas, Texas which offers complete redundancy in power, HVAC, fire suppression, network connectivity, and security. With over 35,000 sq ft of raised floor, The Planet has an offering to fit any need. The datacenter facility sits atop multiple power grids driven by TXU electric, with PowerWare UPS battery backup power and dual diesel generators onsite. Our HVAC systems are condenser units by Data Aire to provide redundancy in cooling coupled with 10 managed backbone providers. Twelve more third party backbone providers are available in the building via cross connect. Fire suppression includes a pre-action dry pipe system including VESDA (Very Early Smoke Detection Apparatus) with over 500 smoke detectors.

Only cPanel Servers are Managed by us. If you order a server without cPanel it is 100% Self Managed by you the Server Owner. On cPanel Servers we will fully set it up for you, install firewalls, do basic securing of the server, Lock down SSH to a different port and only 1 IP, Plus More! We support cPanel only on RH9 or RH Fedora, You can have cPanel on BSD however we will not cover the management if those options are taken.
