Sorry for making a new thread for this before, I wasn't aware that I should have posted it here
Yes, that's right, there's still a rather large (though not near as big as something like Quake 3/4) Doom1/Doom2 online community, for those of you that don't know. Doomworld is one of the most popular Doom websites, along with Skull Tag, ZDoom, and ZDaemon, all of which are source ports for Doom.
So, I was just pointing this out to you all, since I know there are tons of people that go "Whoa, people still play Doom?!".
One of the things that Doom has over many of the more modern games is the ability to easily edit it. Although I've never edited for anything like Quake 3/4 or any other new-school game, I can garuntee Doom editing is probably 3 times easier. I mean really, look at what someone made in just 10 minutes (I didn't make that btw). Yes I know he used a lot of brown textures, but that was done on purpose.
For those of you that haven't played the classic Doom games, then you might want to browse around Doomworld for a few minutes.
I know some of you might say "Pff, Halo/Half Life is so much better. Doom's graphics suck anyway", then you're a little bit off (imo Very Happy ) Doom's simplicity and addictiveness (is that even a word?) is probably what's kept an online community for 12 years.
Unfortunately, Doom still has to be purchased. But, if you go to the nearest Wal-Mart, I can garuntee that you'll find Doom: Collectors Edition, containing Doom1, and Doom2, for $10.
Anyway, I just wanted to share this with you, since I'm sure more than half of you didn't know this.

Hehe warcraft 3 is awesome game i still play it sometimes .. but World of Warcraft came to its place ... but generaly i like all RTS and RPG games :)
