Hi,

Basically I did this whole process backwards. I've been thinking about moving my board from my current server for a while now. Yesterday I went onto another board and then I found the free phpbb link. So of course I clicked on it, registered, and wala I have my website. I started setting it up and I started noticing that I had to keep on logging into my phpbb board and re-authenticate myself in order to get into the Administrative Panel. As the time went on it only got worse. Now at the time I didn't know that we had to become a member at bizhat, earn atleast five posts, and then sign up to free Domain name hosting before starting. I didn't find that out until after I clicked on my board's link to here. I earned my five posts, signed up to the free doman name hosting, and yet I'm still having alot of trouble logging into the board and then into the Administrative Panel :oops: Did I do something wrong or is it just a waiting process? Oh yes and I'm also having trouble posting on the board. Can someone help me please :cry:

Well u dont know phpBB and have not used it

To get into admin panel you have to login twice
this is for extra security and sall phpB bords have this feature
and there is no need of posts to keep the account active

you dint do anything wrong
you got the board wothout posting its not a problem
the forum is made for the support and to make good use of the services
Not to trouble you by making you post to keep account alive

Hi Guttu, thank you for your help and understanding...just one problem though I'm also still having problems signing into the board as well :? Is this like a waiting process...in where I have to wait 24hr or more hours for the board to work correctly :?:

Well I dint understand your problem now
when you enter a username and password it logins instantly
there is no wait
Explain in detail so that I may help you

Sorry there is no shout box mod installed
and it want be
thats because it consumes lot of bandwidth and CPU resources

Hi Guttu,

The problem is that I have to log into my board several times before I can log into the Administrative panel and even after I log into my Administrative panel...it becomes distorted and if I happen to push on a link on the side bar then it'll take me back to log in page to have me start the whole process all over again. I've lost count of how many times I've tried to log into my board and then log into Administrative panel...only for me to have to do it all over again. There may be 2 possibilities

You have disabled cookies in your browser
enable them via options

or you have set the session lenght very low
set it to 1800 or more seconds in "General Configurations"

Hi Guttu,

I tried what you suggested and it worked to some degree but when ever I click on a permissions link in the administrative panel it takes me back to the log in pg...so basically waht I'm trying to say is...it's not letting me access certain areas of my control panel :?
