Please give ftp access.

many important works such as :
avatar gallery,
rank images,
chat rooms,
many more.........

can not be accomplieshed.
please provide any way by which i can edit/upload my files on to the forum.

you can put restrications like file type and size limits, but please allow.

there are goods and bads for that
but some suggestions form my view

I think that instead of FTP access you can allow to upload vis adminCP in folders like avatar, ranks etc
Some preinstalled mods will do the trick and users will not ask for more

But If uploading is allowed through adminCP it may overload MYSQl with too much queries
Also if someone uploads infected files then its difficult to manage it again

My personal opinion FTP shud me not allowed

ok do not gice access, nor give uploading through adminCP,
but atleadt give us a avatar gallery and rank images.

these are empty in you boards and nor we can upload in it.
giving links from other site also not allowed (path must be relative to our root!!!!)

solution to this problem i think is hosting it in our own bizhat ftp accounts (php,mysql enabled).
There some good no. of posts made in my forum, so is there any way to save my database there and start it in a new ftp ?? (through phpbb.com).

I too dont like that the forums sont have ranks and avatar
I think this needs to be considered atleast

Some rank images must be installed by default and user(i.e admin)
can choose the one to b displayed
just like the templates. thereare many available and user can install any template at any time

Bizhat hosting is for websites only and not for forum
php and MYSQL is not given bcoz users may then install vBulletin which is the best

Also i'm afraid that database backup is not possible

On netfreehost.com, backup used to be available at a fee, and now that I have the money available I see that backup is no longer available. I really want to download the database for my forum as I know there have been server issues with netfreehost.com and I am afraid of losing my forum data.

Who exactly should I be e-mailing with this? Basically I'm thinking of backing up the database and then possibly moving my forum to my own website that I'm setting up - with all the problems that have occurred on netfreehost since my forum's inception in September 2005, hardly any of my members are posting anymore.

Even the timestamps are wrong, although I've triple-checked and the timezone is set correctly.

PLEASE ADVISE SPECIFICALLY WHOM I SHOULD E-MAIL AND PROVIDE ME WITH AN ADDRESS. THANK YOU.

Well for forum database backups $5 is charged
contact admin with a subject like
"Database backup with $5 fees"

Yeah sometimes the timestamps are wrong . When I first joined the forum the time was wrong . I cheked it thoruogly
But my profile was rite. But after 2-3 days the problem was fixed. I dunno wat happened
