Level Mapping Discussion
Hi,
My name is Chuck Maslin and I have been mapping for several FPS games over the past 3 years under the name =[MH]=Nawatl.
I started building maps for Quake3 and quickly decided to build more "real life" type maps for a Q3 mod called TrueCombat.
The beginnings of this process was derrived out of wanting to make for better playing fields and prompted me to visit many websites devoted to learning the necessary modeling tools that are used to create the 3D enviornment.
When Enemy Territory was released the developers were quick to port their code over to this game engine and created TrueCombat Elite. I have over 20 maps developed some of which are still played today.
Recently I began to develop Levels for Battlefield 1942, Mod: Desert Combat. There are two maps currently available for this game engine.
