Here is the most marvelous one. This is the one which made her to be recognized as a real ‘actress’. The people who used say, “Hey what’s in her? She looks nice. But what else. Can she act?” just lost their tongue.
The story is by Lohithadas. It is declared to be a campus love story. It’s the story of Priyamvada. Priyamvada is studying in a college in which our hero Sajan Joseph is studying too. Priyamvada is a naughty girl in the campus. But she does have a sentimental background. She has to suffer from poverty. At home she has to suffer the cruelties of Rajendran, the husband of her sister who is a police officer. Even in the middle of poverty she also gives financial support for Sajan who is preparing for IAS exams.
Both the situations were miraculously handled by Meera Jasmine. She did the comedy scenes as brilliantly as she did the sentimental scenes. As far comedy is concerned not many heroines today could handle comedy scenes. And if they tried to do, there will be no one to laugh. But in this case the applause at the theatres is the proof for the recognition of meera’s talents. Her dialog presentation was excellent and she has got good timing too. The dialogs appeared as if it were not dubbed but were recorded live. Same was the case of the songs. Her timing in the lip movement made us to think that there was no playback singer at all. (If you don’t agree, watch the song “Rakkuyil Padi” in which she sings a semi classical note which really appears to be sung by Meera herself. She had repeated the magic in “Ishtamalleda” of Swapnakkodu.)
