Chakram is the controversial movie directed by Lohithadas. The film was actually produced with Mohanlal and Dileep. The project halted in the way. So Lohi remake it with Prithviraj and Vijeesh. The film flopped mainly because eventhough the director could replace the hero the people couldn’t do it. Viewers cannot easily replace Mohanlal with Prithviraj. The director put all the burden of the character Chandran which was created for Mohanlal, onto the head of a 22 year old guy. Director could have changed the story so that it fits to Prithviraj. But it didn’t happen just because the script too was by Lohithadas. Lohi thinks it’s painful to change the script. He never allowed any one to change the script even if it was not directed by him. In his earlier days when he was just a script writer he used to go to the shooting location to look whether the director was changing his story. This habit helped him to learn direction and thus become a good director.

Meera’s character is named Indrani. Her father was a malayalee who left to Gujarat and married a gujarathi woman. Thus Indrani was born and her father returns with her to Kerala. Here she met Chandrahasan who is a lorry driver. The story goes with lot of action, sentiments, a kidnapping etc.
