hello.This is my first post with bizhat. Im sure there are so many people out there in the same trap as me and my wife. You know that feeling you get when you arrive into your mid forties, you begin to think that if you do not do something with your life now you never will.So my story is all true,We lived for many years in a very pretty and sedate seaside town in east anglia with fantastic beaches and a very peaceful enviroment.We have been married since we were teenages and our relationship has been second to none.WE now have 2 daughters the eldest being 34 years old and the youngest 33 years old.My eldest daughter has never married and still lives at home with my wife and i the yougest has been married for 10 years and has a boy 7years old and a girl 5 years old.I have always wanted to live in the sun and my wife has had the same dreams, but has always insisted we wait until both of our daughters were happily married and settled before we make our move.But time is not on our side as the eldest daughter seems so happy at home im now convinced she will never move away.So in 2003 we decide to sell our family home where we have lived for 19 years and move to france.My eldest daughter then 31 years old starts to panic as things have always been very easy for her. She does not want to move to france with us, so weput the house on the market in june 2003 and the house is sold by august 2003 and we complete the sale in november 2003. Before we move out we manage to find a small 2 bed chalet bunglow to buy for my daughter to live in on her own but we have to go into rented accomodation for 5 months so as to give us time to complete the deal on the chalet bunglow and to modernise the property for my daughter to live in. All the work is completed by march 2004 and we all move into this very small property. The big day arrives April 2nd 2004 my wife and i pack the car and say a very emotional goodbye to our daughter and we head south to the warmer climate of south west france. The day we depart i start to document every part of our lives for 2 years , the ups and downs, the problems, the setbacks and all of the adventures we experience in this new fantastic life we have entered into.I intend to give you a day by day illustration of this great experience
