George Bernad Shaw won the Nobel Prize for literature in 1925. He won the Oscar in 1938 for adapting his own play Pygmalion.

Universites of Calcutta, Bombay and Madras were established in 1857, respectively in January, July and September.

Dishonoured cheque : The writing on the cheque may be illegible, or the cheque is mutilated, or the amount in figures does not match the amount in words, or the funds in the account may be insufficient.
