Chandamama, which has behind it a sixty years history of story-telling, has gone and revamped its Web site at Chandamama.com.

Popular Chandamama comics, and stories based on Chandamama's favorite characters such as Vikram-Vetal, Akbar-Birbal, Panchatantra, and Jataka Tales will be available on the revamped site.

Apart from comic stories, the Web site will have folk tales from different states of India, and will aim to be a source of infotainment for kids.

The site content will be classified into three categories; namely classical, contemporary, and current.

The classical section will include mythology, Panchatantra stories, Jataka Tales, and stories about Vikram and Vetal; the contemporary section will have Indian and world history, plus stories about Indian achievers; while the current section will deal with stories on Science, General Knowledge, and Sports.

Sharing the idea behind the online presence, Viswanatha Reddi, editor and publisher of Chandamama, said they have created a special application that would enable readers enjoy Chandamama classics online
