Will the USA attack Iran?

With the new National Intelligence Estimate out, I belive that this possibility has been removed from the table.

Yes, I believe that a possible confrontation with Iran was very possible in the last days of the Bush presidency. The temptation was always there, to put it bluntly, to "go out with a bang".

However, the legitimacy for support for such an option has completely dissapated with this report from America's top spy agencies.

Not while Obama is in power thank goodness. I say let the young people of Iran evolve their democracy without interference. It is the cradle of civilisation after all.

We're not going to fall for the wepons of mas-destruction smoke-screen again, if there is evidence of agressive moves by Iran to gain nuclear weapons let the UN deal with it, the USA can not be allowed to wage aggressive war again. Let the west and the democrasies bind together and defend themselves but none of them should jump the gun and start a war in the same way the US started the current war in Iraq.
