Every time I say I need an aspirin because my stomach hurts, the men I know go through a long range of reasons as to why I'm pain. Food poisoning, cancer, ulcers, kidney stones, etc. Its not every man but sometimes it sure seems like that.

Then some of them go on about how I need to see a doctor. If I'm in such pain they've seen me grasping at my stomach or doubling over they'll want to drive me to hospital. So i've no choice but to tell them its "female problems." The reason I've just said "I need an aspirin because my stomach hurts" is because i've no desire to clue them into the fact that I'm on my period

Now I realize I rarely complain about pain and try not take aspirin/tylenol, so I can see why they'd be concerned when I want one, but after the first time we've had this exchange you'd think they'd stop jumping to the belief that I have an ulcer or cancer.
