Default Change of domain name without losing existing forum content?

When I set up my forum I was unsure of how it would go and foolishly chose a domain name which doesn't represent the content of the forum. It is not possible for potential members to find my forum by internet searching and hence my forum expands by word of mouth only.

It is possible to change the domain name to something more apt without losing the existing content and all of the posts and members?

    Please advise.

There is no way we can change the site url.

You can create a new forum, but will lose the content.

Okey dokey, so what about getting hold of the forum database - buying if necessary - and then transferring it to the new forum?

Ok, so if I cough up for the forum database backup how will I transfer it to the new forum?

Can I do it or will I have to have Bizhat do it for me?

Doing backup and transfer is not easy in a multi forum setup.
