PHP guest book

Maybe you can help me with my problem. I want to build a php guest book for my website but before starting I would like to know if it’s possible to have this guest book this way:

I have a html file where users are asked to enter their name/email and message. In a second file there should be the stored entries. Is it possible to write new entries directly into the second file on a specific position without using an extra file for the messages ?

Maybe someone has a similar guest book and is able to provide me his script. Thanks for your support.

I go to google.com and search for php guestbook
and there are a whole bunch
I am trying to get to 20 post so they would enable my php script so i can put up my guestbook because those free guestbook hosting really sux.. ............ but it take so long to post......... wish me luck....
