    EditPlus is not free. I use it a lot, but for coding, i don't like it. I use Send Studio for eclipse for most of the time. Recently i found NotePad++ that seems good for programming (if you don't want project) and is Free. I will have replaced EditPlus with NotePad if it have the Project feature, which allow you to easily open files with shortcut.

    Welcome to NetBeans

    is good free IDE for PHP, i have used it for some time, it is good. If i was not using Zend Studio, i will be using this. It even got git version control plugin that is one thing i miss in Zend Studio.
