I have to say that I dont like the design. I fully agree with you about ranging (it makes business busy) but from my point of view there is no conflict between good design and SEO effective.

Go ahead with this:
- Use some template (for example from flashmo.com - but html template not flash!)
- use source cleaning and check soft
- use SOE effeciency soft
- use a good structure on your site
- use "articles" on your site
