Once you have dreamweaver there's no need to use notepad, just edit HTML in the coding area. Dreamweaver + Fireworks + Photoshop are a good combo

    Default Dreaweaver Rulezzz

I always use Dreamweaver to make my websites, but if I only have to make minor changes to a web page I simply use Notepad.

Cauz it's quicker in opening the source-code.
I once tried Adobe GoLive, but I absolutely didnt like it, especially cauz I'm used to Dreamweaver.

I wonder if many of you ONLY use a simple editor like Notepad and make your own source-coded websites...?

I've used loads of editors, notepad, frontpage, interdev, all versions of dreamweaver, homesite.... the list goes on.
As a web developer and programmer though, dreamweaver was always my tool of choice. The fact that you can create your own commands/objects/tools and insert them into the menu's has made my life soooo much easier.
I can trim down the menu's so that i can hand out cut-down versions of dreamweaver to "untrained" users for review or similar purposes.
Also the application support (ie asp, cfml, mysql, sql server) in MX is also very very useful
Definitely my recommendation as a best buy.
Course it ain't that cheap but you get what you pay for

Definitely NOTEPAD, because even though it requires manual coding, it helps you learn more about HTML, and also it is much easier..plus you won't have errors when editing some codes, some programs like FrontPage or Dreamweaver sometimes change the codes if they can't understand it...so being back to basic is still the preferred!
