Yes, as Guttu suggested Maxthon is good with more functions.
But nothing can compete with Opera which is use now, in its speed.The fastest browser in this world.

yup yup ~ i love it for that fact ~ tho i do prefer Mozzilla (version in original post) ~ i normally only use opera to preview sites that i have made and also when i am running alot of apps and need the memory speed ~ Mozzilla just has alot of plugins and usefull scripting funtions that i like to take advantage of ~ also ive been using it for about 3 or 4 years now so i'll most acustomed to it aswell

ive been thinking about useing firefox for chatting on deviantart.com ~ but ide only want to because of one plugin that would make things ezer in #thumbshare ~ but mozzilla can run a few other plugins that help there as well ~ so i probably wont

i was reading about Maxthon and how it used to be MyIE7 and that i have heard of ~ i didnt know it was still being developed~ it looks like they update it alot too which is killer~ i'll probably give it a try come spring break ~ if anyone knows if it can run a plugin called greasemonkey let me know plz! and thank you

But if u use Maxthon then I think
there is no need to use greasemonkey
Maxthon has good AD blocker and clean view of website
I don think anybody uses greasemonkey for any other purposes then to get rid of website ads

About the Firefox "memory leak"
A lot of people complain about the Firefox "memory leak(s)". All versions of Firefox no doubt leak memory - it is a common problem with software this complicated. We look to fix the issues where we can. David Baron and others have done a huge amount of excellent work in this area.
What I think many people are talking about however with Firefox 1.5 is not really a memory leak at all. It is in fact a feature.
To improve performance when navigating (studies show that 39% of all page navigations are renavigations to pages visited < 10 pages ago, usually using the back button), Firefox 1.5 implements a Back-Forward cache that retains the rendered document for the last few session history entries. This can be a lot of data. It's a trade-off. What you get out of it is faster performance as you navigate the web.
For those who remain concerned, here's how the feature works. Firefox has a preference browser.sessionhistory.max_total_viewers which by default is set to -1. When set to this value, Firefox calculates the amount of memory in the system, according to this breakdown:

In the Firefox address bar, do the following:

about:config
browser.sessionhistory.max_total_viewers
Right-click -> Modify

Now replace the '-1' with any number between 0 and 8

In the URL bar, type “about:config” and press enter. This will bring up the configuration “menu” where you can change the parameters of Firefox.

Note that these are what I’ve found to REALLY speed up my Firefox significantly - and these settings seem to be common among everybody else as well. But these settings are optimized for broadband connections - I mean with as much concurrent requests we’re going to open up with pipelining… lol… you’d better have a big connection.

Double Click on the following settins and put in the numbers below - for the true / false booleans - they’ll change when you double click.

One more thing… Right-click somewhere on that screen and add a NEW -> Integer. Name it “nglayout.initialpaint.delay” and set its value to “0”. This value is the amount of time the browser waits before it acts on information it receives. Since you’re broadband - it shouldn’t have to wait.

Now you should notice you’re loading pages MUCH faster now!

i'll definatly give this a shot sumtime next week and i'll post the results / differences

im runing on 256 of mem (i sed 512 in my first post thinking of my "beta machine" that im building) so the difference should be pretty damn noticable

My testing of Firefox is over and it really suxx for many points
So I have rolled back to Maxthon 1.3.3 which is very stable

And will b tryin OPERA in between
