Default Depression is more than "inexplicable reasons"

I may be late to this discussion but I have been fighting depression for many years. I think you have to experience it (but I hope you never do) to really understand. The first thing to know is that the depressed mind is not processing information properly. It "sees" many things that only appear true through the warped lens of its depression. I think most depression sufferers that finally take the ultimate step are at an incredible low - not just a momentary dip (like failing an exam). It comes on slowly and builds and builds. Also I think that many suicides are convinced that they are not only "solving" their problem but also helping out others (i.e. "My family will be better off without me").
I also take issue with the stance that anti-depression drugs should be banned. Without the medication that I have been treated with I know I would be dead by now.
    Cheers!,

Yes, suicide is not the solution. Just think everyone who love you, or at least, think about someone who probably could be your real love someday.
