Frontpage is bundled with MS Office, which isn't cheap, and Dreamweaver costs even more. Dreamweaver really isn't worth purchasing unless you're going to use Fireworks with it and develop professional looking websites. There are plenty of free templates you can find on the internet, and if you want a decent html editor with a preview edit mode, you can get a decent one for free if you install the Mozilla web browser. If you want to really get into coding HTML, there are more than enough websites that offer free tutorials and sample code to turn you into a veritable HTML expert. The bottomline is you shouldn't have to spend any money on software to develop your own website, and you could get it done in no time at all, if you had anything for brains in your brain sack.

zend.com has a great tutorial on PHP. It is located at http://www.zend.com/php5/abs/.

It starts out with the usual tutorial stuff such as "Hello world", then goes into language constructs, cookies, databases, and XML. It is one of the best tutorials that I have read.

Especially interesting is SQLite, which is a built-in database.
