about PHP. last night i downloaded the 4.4 version fo complete source code from php website and also the windows binaries. but i havent installed it. i actually dont know how so im still researching for it. do i need to install apache too? im using windows xp? any suggestions how will i install mysql, php and apache to my computer? will u recommend apache or IIS? cause i read in some website that apache might slow down my computer, i only have 512MB so that might be a problem.Originally Posted by Guttu

i went to that website and im downloading the 1.8 version as of this moment but im kinda curious cause the file is just 7MB+. i dont know if it has complete apache server on it and mysql. did u install thiss easyphp? hows it?
yes it is the same
but I hav old version 1.7 or somethin
dont go on filesize
It includes all things
try it and then tel me
hmmm, hokay, i think i kinda messed up things already. i tried installing this morning apache, mysql and php. i thought everythings working fine until i intall php.apparantly the windows installer that i downloaded doesnt have all the files i needed, like mising sapi folder. so anyways, im not gonna tell you my horror story, i might uninstall everything and try that easyphp(the versions of mysql , apache and php are kinda outdated though and that's one thing that i dont like).
but when ur learning php
the outdated versions shudnt mind u
when u finish learning
try wid latest
