Whats the best search engine?

altavista is supposed to be the biggest search engine on the internet, but it comes up with confusing crap and unrelated topics.

i've used google for as long as i can remember using search engines. have not seen anything better. it has managed to become the best known engine anyways so everyone is using it. that's i think is the reason why it serves so many persons online. that's my opinion.
