It’s true. Money can’t buy happiness. Most of us are motivated by aspirations of the lifestyle we desire to ourselves and our families, not by the physical possessions- homes, vacations, automobiles, etc.
When you recognize this fact, you will know that you must constantly "raise the bar" to encourage yourself to reach higher goals. Your goals should include the possessions that you desire, but as former Apple Computer chairman and CEO John Sculley said, "Success is a journey, not a destination. Make sure you enjoy the trip."

Setting A Goal

Lack of concrete goal is the real problem among the youth today. This is an important and urgent need to be addressed, failing which the future of our country will be in a pathetic state. Nation’s wealth is the young generation of the country. India is on the rise, and will be significant global economic and social power in this century. The country, therefore, needs all the talent of the educated youth to work towards this goal.
Let us estimate the number of unemployed and underemployed in the country. The alarming high figure would indicate that the most potent human resource of the country is idle, wasted or deviated towards meaningless or destructive purposes. The goalless attitude is the major factor for this. Our educational system also has failed to instill the principle of meaningful goal setting.
“You have to aim high to rise.” Have a time- framed goal and be committed to it.
How to Set and Achieve a Goal

Aim high- Sky is the limit! Make your goal as big as you can imagine
Self Knowledge: Understand yourself. Recognise your strength and weakness. Think about the purpose of your life and also your limitations. Your interest and hobbies tell a great deal about you. Understand your personality, attitude and key traits. List down the subjects/activities you enjoy. Reason Out- Why?
Understand Career Options:
There are several sources of information. Newspaper, books and journals form one source. Career articles, websites contain a wealth of information. Meet someone who holds a position that you are interested in or consult a career counselor. Many institutions organize areer guidance programmes and camps. Pinpoint the careers that are most suited to your talent, attitude, ability and personality.
Identify the specific goals you want to achieve in one month, one year, three years and five years. For each short-term and long-term goals list the steps you can start now achieve them. Add deadline (timeframe) to each step.
ASK (Attitude, Skills and Knowledge):
Understand what knowledge and skills are important in your chosen filed. Keep yourself updated. Also set positive frame mind. ‘Attitude determines your altitude’. Communication skill, self confidence, leadership ability and competitive spirit are a few things successful people always possess.
Self Motivate: Passion and flair alone do not help to achieve your goal. Use every opportunity to know and read about your goal area. Start preparation early. Don’t waste time waiting for a perfect condition or situation. They do not exist. Start now, never pro-crastinate.

The most difficult thing is to get started. The perfect moment is NOW! Yes right now, this very second is the perfect moment to start working towards your goal. No it’s not tomorrow or Monday, RIGHT NOW!!!
Above all have faith in God, stay in your values and be prepared for hard work. The world is for those who battle against the difficulties.

How do avoid exam fear?
The are two ways to get rid of exam fear ...and believe me they both work
:)
1)to prepare completely in advance,before the eve of the examination.
2)to not be bothered at all whether you pass or fail the examinations,and not be affected at all by the results.
you'd probably be better off with option 1. and even if you cant do this and you just start your studying a day before the exam(like me) then rather than studying perfectly, a section of your portions, i'd suggest you glance through your entire syllabus three to four times.you'll be surprised to know all the answers at the end of just three-four readings or glances..that way , you know a wider portion of whats likely to be asked , and thers more probability of asking questions ,whose answers you know.

The Man Who Willed Himself to Die
The Man Who Willed Himself to Die
There was a man who worked for the railroad. One day as he went into the freezer compartment to do his routine work, the door accidentally closed and he found himself trapped in the compartment.
He shouted for help but no one heard him since it was past midnight. He tried to break down the door but he could not. As he lay in the freezer compartment, he began to feel colder, and colder.
Then he began to feel weaker, and weaker, and he wrote on the wall of the compartment, "I am feeling colder, and colder; and I am getting weaker, and weaker. I am dying, and these may be my last words". In the morning when the other workers opened up thecompartment they found him dead.
The sad twist to the above story is that the freezing apparatus in the compartment had broken down a few days earlier.
The poor worker did not know about the damaged freezing apparatus and in his mind the freezing apparatus was working perfectly. He felt cold, got weaker and literally willed himselfto die.
SUCCESS PRINCIPLES
Our sub-conscious mind can be cheated. The sub-conscious mind can only accept and act on information passed to it by the conscious mind. It has no capacity to reject or decline any instructions or information passed to it by the conscious mind.
In the case of the poor worker, he consciously thought that he was getting colder, weaker and dying and the sub-conscious mind accepted the above instructions and affected his physical body. That was how he willed himselfto die.
