Rava Idli
Rava Idli (semolina idli) is an instant and easy fix for breakfast, as there is no soaking,grinding or fermentation.This is a specialty of Karnataka and part of the menu in Udupi restaurants. It is healthy and quite filling and tastes delicious with chutney and sambar.
Ingredients
Rava or Semolina- 2 cup
Yogurt - 3/4 cup
Carrot- 1 medium
Chana Dal- 2 tsp
Urad Dal- 2 tsp
Chopped ginger- 1 tsp
Green chilly- 2
asafoetida - a pinch
Curry leaves- a few
Baking soda- a pinch
Mustard seeds 1/2 tsp
Oil- 2 tsp
Method
Dry roast rava till it attains a nice aroma. Allow to cool a minute and soak for half an hour in 2 1/2 cups of water.
Heat oil in a pan and add mustard seeds and when it splutters add chana dal and fry for a minute, followed by urud dal, ginger, chilly, curry leaves and asafoetida and chopped carrot and fry for a minute. Allow this to cool.
Add yogurt into the soaked rava along with this fried mixture. Do not add much water. The consistency should be a little more thick than idli batter.Add salt and baking soda and pour into greased idli maker dish and steam for 8-10 minutes. To check whether it is cooked wet the tip of your finger and gently touch the idli. If it does not stick to your finger then it is done. Serve warm with chutney or sambar.

Stuffed Bread
Ingredients
Bread- 8 slices
Green peas - 3/4 cup
Potato- 1/2 cup
Tomato- 1/4 cup
onion - one small
Ginger- garlic paste- 1 tsp
chilly powder- 1/2 tsp
coriander powder - 1/3 tsp
Gram Masala- 1/3 tsp
Egg- 1
Coriander leaves- 1 tsp
Oil- 2 tsp
salt to taste
Method
To prepare the stuffing first cook green peas and potatoes until soft. Saute onions in oil and when it is golden brown add in ginger- garlic paste and saute for a few seconds add in tomatoes and salt to taste. Now add chilly powder, coriander powder and gram masala and stir in the green peas and potatoes. add in three to four tsp of water as well and let the masala cook. Beat one egg separately and pour it on top and let it stand for a few seconds. Now stir in continuously until the mixture is dry and the egg is cooked. Finally add coriander leaves.
Take the bread and cut off the edges. Lay it on a flat board and carefully wet the four corners of all the bread slices slightly with water. Now spoon in the mixture to the center of the bread and place the second slice on top. Carefully press down the edges and seal it completely. Grill it on a tawa and slightly butter it on both side and allow them to get roasted. Cut them into two before serving.

Vermicelli upma
Vermicelli upma is a simple, healthy and nutritious breakfast recipe. Bambino vermicelli upma is full of bright vegetables which makes it a feast for the eyes. It is easy on the stomach, high in fbre and low in calories. Here is the receipe for vermicelli upma.
Ingredients:
2 cups Vermicelli
1 tsp Chana dal
1 tsp Urad dal
1/4 tsp Mustard seeds
2 tsp Cashewnuts
2 tsp Peanuts
1 Onions
2 Green chillies
1/2 inch Ginger
1 Potatoes
1/4 cup Peas
1 Carrots
1 Tomatoes
4 1/2 cups Water
3 tblsp Oil
2 tblsp Ghee
3 sprig Curry Leaves
Salt to taste
Method
Chop the onions, tomatoes, potatoes, carrots into small cubes. Slit the green chilly lengthwise and grate the ginger. Keep them aside
In a kadai, dry roast the vermicelli stirring constantly till light brown and a sweet aroma is released. Roasting of vermicelli ensures that the vermicelli does not become a mushy pulp on boiling. All the strands are separate.
Heat the oil and add chana dal, urad dal, mustard seeds and curry leaves. When they start to crackle, add peanuts and cashewnuts. Fry till they turn golden brown.
Add chopped potatoes, carrots and fry for 4-5 minutes.
Then add chillies,ginger ,onions, peas and tomatoes.
Cook until they are done. Sprinkle some water if the vegetables start to stick.
After that add salt and 41/2 cups of water, cover with a lid and let it boil .
When the water comes to boil add vermecelli and simultaneously stir ( so that no lumps are formed).
Cover the upma with a lid for 5-6 minutes and then add 2tbsp of ghee and stir well.
Serve hot with coconut chutney.

Easy recipe helps you to make a tasty Oats dish - Oats Dosa
Ingredients
1) 2 cups oats
2) 2 tbsp rice
3) Buttermilk/Yogurt (enough to soak and cover the oats)
4) 2 green chillies- chopped
5) A pinch of asafoetida
6) Water as required
7) 2 tsp finely chopped coriander
8)1 tsp cumin seeds (optional)
9) Salt to taste
Preparation Methods:
1) Add the rice and oats into a bowl. Add buttermilk or yogurt to this and allow it to soak for 20 minutes.
2) Pour the above mixture into a mixer and grind well.
3) Add ingredients 2-9 to get the dosa batter consistency.
4) Heat the tava and start making dosa.
Healthy oats dosa is ready for breakfast and you can savour it with coriander chutney.

This is nice breakfast, But i can't eat a lot in breakfast, So, i eat a slice piece of bread and tea. It is my favorite breakfast.Thanks everybody for sharing this nice and delicious breakfast.
