Song in Urumi a gift for parents: Vidya

Actress Vidya Balan, who will be doing a special song in 'Urumi', says it is a gift to her parents as they always wanted to see her in a Malayalam film.

Directed by Santosh Sivan, 'Urumi' is a historical film, starring Prithviraj, Genelia D'Souza and Prabhu Deva, besides Vidya, Arya, and Tabu in cameo appearances.

"I have done a song and few scenes. I did it because mother and father always wanted me to do a Malayalam film. So it is my gift to them," Vidya said in an interview.

About the song, the actress said, "It is not an item song as I play an oracle. It is not item song in the way we see it...it is just a special appearance song." The actress has also dubbed for the movie in her own voice.
