Hansika was approached for Dhanush’s Nayyandi, directed by Sargunam, and so was Amala Paul. Both the actresses could not take up this project for reasons unknown to the media. Nazriya Nazim was later booked for the project and the movie’s shoot has also been kicked-off in right earnest. Meanwhile, the media was abuzz with news a few days back that Hansika had refused to pair up with Dhanush in this film. Irked by these reports, Hansika has clarified that Dhanush will always be a close friend to her and that she could not honor this project only due to date issues after initially agreeing to act in it. Other than that, she says why should she refuse an offer opposite Dhanush.
