about mandriva linux

HI GUYS,
I INSTALLED MANDRIVA LIMITED EDITION 2005(I AM A NEWBIE TO LINUX) AND GOT HTRU SATISFACTORILY. BUT THEN IT SAID KDE CAN'T WORK.

WHATS MORE I DON'T KNOW HOW TO OPERATE LEX,YACC.
IF I TYPE LEX IN TERMINAL IT SAYS COMMAND NOT FOUND

1st dont post ur e-mail ID in ur posts
I think u r not a newbeeee now
and must hav read the rules

2nd
the error details are incomplete
U shud hav gave the complete error details

3rd
Plz to all u r learning or want to try linux
get the knowledge of its basics
its not as easy as windows

first try it out with a live cd with X window system
and try out commands there
i had used 3 versions of linux.
since linux is unix based sys u have tried out yacc.
a improper installation of rpm may be the pblm.
try to reinstall from the cd by browsing through it(or else with bin extension also it may be i am not sure)
or
get linux tools from mandriva site
or open source site that supports yacc
and install in ur PC
