Open Source PHP database application

Is there an Open Source PHP database application that i can download and customize? Is there such thing? im not really sure. i just need something to create a database application. ASP, Visual Basic .NET, seems to be hard to understand especially when your a beginner.

Do umean to say u want something like Vizual basic compiler
to create databse
and this shud b free,open source and customizable??

what i meant to say is, a web application totally made from PHP, that i can just edit like accounting system or payroll system for a company. i know you can do that in visual basi but i find it very difficult.

Windows XP is made wid .net and u want it in php
somethin like that

by the way guttu, just an update. i finished downloading the easyphp, but i havent installed it. i find out that he version of apache there is 1.3.33, but i want higher than that so i downloaded the 2.0 version. so i might go for that. but i still havo to do some further reading cause i dont wanna mess up the installation of apache, mysql and php on my computer.
