The following scene took place on a British Airways flight between Johannesburg and London.

A white woman, about 50 years old, was seated next to a black man. Obviously disturbed by this, she called the air Hostess.

"Madam, what is the matter", the hostess asked "you obviously do not see it then?"

She responded: "You placed me next to a black man. I do not agree to sit next to someone from such a repugnant group. Give me an alternative seat."

"Be calm please", the hostess replied.

"Almost all the places on this flight are taken. I will go to see if another place is available". The Hostess went away and then came back a few minutes later.
"Madam, just as I thought, there are no other available seats in the economy class. I spoke to the captain and he informed me that there is also no seat in the business class. All the same, we still have one place in the first class."

Before the woman could say anything, the hostess continued. "It is not usual for our company to permit someone from the economy class to sit in the first class. However, given the circumstances; the captain feels that it would be scandalous to make someone sit next to someone so disgusting."

The air hostess then turned to the black guy, and said. "Therefore, Sir, if you would like to, please take your hand luggage because a seat awaits you in the first class".

At the moment, the other passengers who were shocked by what they had just witnessed stood up and applauded.

This is a true story which is not usually told. All mankind is from Adam and Eve; a rich has no superiority over a poor; an Arab has no superiority over a non-Arab, nor a non-Arab has any superiority over an Arab; also a white has no superiority over a black, nor does a black have any superiority over white except by piety and good action. Learn that every human being is brother of each other.

Dr.Parveen Sultanas Speech at College -- So Inspiring

It was the occasion of College Annual Day. Dr.Parveen Sultana, lecturer JBAS, Chennai and a renounced speaker was the chief guest. This is a glimpse of her enlightening speech.

The turning point of ones life may come from any ones mouth any time and anywhere. So, be attentive always.

She narrated a fascinating story. A boy could not tolerate a lecturer's class. He went out of the class and jumped down from the first floor. He cried in pain. When his friends asked him he just told "This pain is bearable. But that lecturer's class is not bearable. That is just a dog and pony show". From this we can infer that speaking is not difficult whereas listening is.

The next was a true incident involving a ruthless youth and an old man in a bus which she witnessed. The old man wanted to sit in the seat. The boy spoke in a rude manner to him. The world does not need those kinds of youth. Youth means vibrant i.e. full of energy.

She emphasized that planning is of paramount importance to succeed. "If you fail to plan you plan to fail".

The Indian education system has to be improved. Education drives people away from the home land. A student who has completed twelfth gets out of his village and a graduate leaves the country.

Our Country has huge amount of wealth. But we don't know to unearth the wealth. We should change the way we deal with things.

Understanding life is more important than earning 100 $. Freedom involves not only in doing whatever you like but also not in doing what you don't like.

A Negro lady once told her "Indians are intelligent but they do not know to sell themselves well in the interview".

Once, American President John.F.Kennedy was traveling across a street. Many people waved flags at him. He noticed a boy staring at him. He then called the boy and asked, "Gentleman, am I disturbing you?" The boy replied "yes". He told that when he grew up he wanted to be in the position in which John.F.Kennedy was there. He grew up to become Mr. Bill Clinton. This was possible only because of the burning desire he had.

Set targets in life. And if you succeed don't stop at your success. Keep on trying out new things in life. Our attitude towards life should change. We should face obstacles in order to succeed.

Dr.Parveen Sultana illustrated how Chinas teaching methodology is different from ours. If 19 is to be subtracted from 42 we teach "Borrow 1 from 4". We teach of borrowing but never teach of returning it back. In China the teaching goes like "4 will help 2 with a 1". There should be a transformation our teaching methodology.

She criticized the old Crow and Vada story. It is not a moral story. It speaks about hunger, theft and cheating. She told a modified one.

A crow was hungry. It went inside the house of a lady. She was struggling to light the wet fuel. The crow then brought her some dried sticks. It got its salary for the work done. The lady gave him vadas.

She then narrated another story. Two monks went out for a work. They had to return by 6 PM. Since it was getting late the younger monk wanted to go by the shortest route. The elder monk took the route reluctantly. Many gals were bathing in the river. A gal suddenly drowned in the water. The younger monk saved her. The elder monk scolded him for doing like this. He told that he can no longer be a monk as he touched a girl. This continued even when they reached the math. The younger monk who was silent till then replied "I left her in the bank. You still carry her in your heart".

Finally she spoke about Alfred Nobel who invented the Dynamite. He earned lots of money because of his invention but was not satisfied. He regretted for inventing such a thing. It killed many people. He donated all the money he earned for a noble cause. This is how Nobel Prize for peace is given year by year.

    ΓΌ Take A Look

    A meaningful story

A man came home from work late, tired and irritated, to find his 5-year old son waiting for him at the door.
SON: "Daddy, may I ask you a question?"
DAD: "Yeah sure, what is it?"
SON: "Daddy, how much do you make an hour?"
DAD: "That's none of your business. Why do you ask such a thing?" the man said angrily.
SON: "I just want to know. Please tell me, how much do you make an hour?"
DAD: "If you must know, I make $20 an hour."

"Oh", the little boy replied, with his head down.
Looking up, he said, "Daddy, may I please borrow $10?"
The father was furious, "If the only reason you asked that is so you can borrow some money to buy a silly toy or some other nonsense, then you march yourself straight to your room and go to bed. Think about why you are being so selfish. I work hard everyday for such this childish behavior."

The little boy quietly went to his room and shut the door. The man sat down and started to get even angrier about the little boy's questions. How dare he ask such questions only to get some money? After about an hour or so, the man had calmed down, and started to think:
Maybe there was something he really needed to buy with that $10 and he really didn't ask for money very often. The man went to the door of the little boy's room and opened the door.

"Are you asleep, son?" He asked.
"No daddy, I'm awake," replied the boy.
"I've been thinking, maybe I was too hard on you earlier," said the man.
"It's been a long day and I took out my aggravation on you. Here's the $10 you asked for."

The little boy sat straight up, smiling. "Oh, thank you daddy!" He yelled.
Then, reaching under his pillow he pulled out some crumpled up bills.

The man, seeing that the boy already had money, started to get angry again.
The little boy slowly counted out his money, then looked up at his father.

"Why do you want more money if you already have some?" the father grumbled.

"Because I didn't have enough, but now I do," the little boy replied.
"Daddy, I have $20 now. Can I buy an hour of your time? Please come home early tomorrow. I would like to have dinner with you."

So what is the moral of the story?

THE MORAL OF THIS STORY :

    Don't work too hard...

Share this story with someone you like. But even better, share $20 worth of time with someone you love. It's just a short reminder to all of you working so hard in life. We should not let time slip through our fingers without having spent some time with those who really matter to us, those close to our hearts.

If we die tomorrow, the company that we are working for could easily replace us in a matter of days. But the family & friends we leave behind will feel the loss for the rest of their lives. And come to think of it, we pour ourselves more into work than to our family. An unwise investment indeed!

Rain drop falling from the sky has nothing in mind except to hit the earth. No matter how tough the drop is, it still reaches its destiny! Be positive always, best of luck...

never take some one for granted,Hold every person Close to your Heart because
you might wake up one day and realise that you have lost a diamond while you
    were too busy collecting stones.
    Remember this always in Life

An atheist professor of philosophy speaks to his class on the problem
science has with God, The Almighty.

He asks one of his new students to stand and.....

Prof: So you believe in God?

    Student: Absolutely, sir.

    Prof: Is God good?

    Student: Sure.

    Prof: Is God all-powerful?

    Student: Yes.

Prof: My brother died of cancer even though he prayed to God to heal
him. Most of us would attempt to help others who are ill. But God
didn't. How is this God good then? Hmm?

    (Student is silent.)

Prof: You can't answer, can you? Let's start again, young fella. Is God
    good?

    Student: Yes.

    Prof: Is Satan good?

    Student: No.

Prof: Where does Satan come from?

    Student: From...God...

Prof: That's right. Tell me son, is there evil in this world?

    Student: Yes.

Prof: Evil is everywhere, isn't it? And God did make everything.
    Correct?

    Student: Yes.

    Prof: So who created evil?

    (Student does not answer.)

Prof: Is there sickness? Immorality? Hatred? Ugliness? All these
terrible things exist in the world, don't they?

    Student: Yes, sir.

    Prof: So, who created them?

    (Student has no answer.)

Prof: Science says you have 5 senses you use to identify and observe
the world around you. Tell me, son...Have you ever

    seen God?

    Student: No, sir.

Prof: Tell us if you have ever heard your God?

    Student: No, sir.

Prof: Have you ever felt your God, tasted your God, smelt your

God? Have you ever had any sensory perception of God for that matter?

    Student: No, sir. I'm afraid I haven't.

Prof: Yet you still believe in Him?

    Student: Yes.

Prof: According to empirical, testable, demonstrable protocol, science
says your GOD doesn't exist. What do you say to that, son?

Student: Nothing. I only have my faith.

Prof: Yes. Faith. And that is the problem science has.

Student: Professor, is there such a thing as heat?

    Prof: Yes.

Student: And is there such a thing as cold?

    Prof: Yes.

    Student: No sir. There isn't.

(The lecture theatre becomes very quiet with this turn of events.)

Student: Sir, you can have lots of heat, even

more heat, superheat, mega heat, white heat, a little heat or no heat.
But we don't have anything called cold. We can hit 458 degrees below
zero which is no heat, but we can't go any further after that. There is
no such thing as cold. Cold is only a word we use to describe the
absence of heat. We cannot measure cold. Heat is energy. Cold is not the
opposite of heat, sir, just the absence of it.

(There is pin-drop silence in the lecture theatre.)

Student: What about darkness, Professor? Is there such a thing as
    darkness?

Prof: Yes. What is night if there isn't darkness?

Student : You're wrong again, sir. Darkness is the absence of
something. You can have low light, normal light, bright light, flashing
    light....But if
you have no light constantly, you have nothing and it's called darkness,
isn't it? In reality, darkness isn't. If it were you would be able to
    make
    darkness darker, wouldn't you?

Prof: So what is the point you are making, young man?

Student: Sir, my point is your philosophical premise is flawed.

Prof: Flawed? Can you explain how?

Student: Sir, you are working on the premise of duality. You argue
there is life and then there is death, a good God and a bad God. You are
viewing the concept of God as something finite, something we can
measure. Sir, science can't even explain a thought. It uses electricity
and magnetism, but has never seen, much less fully understood either
one.To view death as the opposite of life is to be ignorant of the fact
that death cannot exist as a substantive thing. Death is not the
opposite of life: just the absence of it.

Now tell me, Professor.Do you teach your students that they evolved from
    a monkey?

Prof: If you are referring to the natural evolutionary process, yes, of
    course, I do.

Student: Have you ever observed evolution with your own eyes, sir?

(The Professor shakes his head with a smile, beginning to realize where
    the argument is going.)

Student: Since no one has ever observed the process of evolution at
work and cannot even prove that this process is an on-going endeavor,
are you not teaching your opinion, sir? Are you not a scientist but a
preacher? (The class is in uproar.)

Student: Is there anyone in the class who has ever seen the Professor's
    brain?

(The class breaks out into laughter.)

Student: Is there anyone here who has ever heard the Professor's brain,
felt it, touched or smelt it? No one appears to have done so. So,
according to the established rules of empirical, stable, demonstrable
protocol, science says that you have no brain, sir.

With all due respect, sir, how do we then trust your lectures, sir?

(The room is silent. The professor stares at the student, his face
    unfathomable.)

Prof: I guess you'll have to take them on faith, son.

Student: That is it sir... The link between man & god is FAITH. That is
all that keeps things moving & alive.

NB: I believe you have enjoyed the conversation...and if so...you'll
probably want your friends/colleagues to enjoy the same...won't you?....
this is a true story, and the student was none other than.........APJ
Abdul Kalam, the present president of India.
