    I want to book a ticket to Surat from Bangalore. I intend to d it on the website of IRTCT. Do I have to register to make the booking?

    Just fill out the registration form and create your account. Then you can book tickets, and also avail all the features of IRCTC.

    Yes. If you want to book tickets online on the IRTCT website, you have to create an account first. For all other services, it is not necessary.
