    Default Mexican Rebelde

Rebelde is a telenovela from Mexico that was first broadcast on Televisa in 2004 2006. Rebelde ("Rebel") is a Mexican telenovela (or series) produced by Televisa. It is a remake of an Argentine telenovela Rebelde Way adapted for the Mexican audience therefore leading to differences in character's backgrounds. The series has been successful and has earned renewment for a third season, a feat which is extremely unusual for the genre, although the third season does not show any success it just shows that they haven't had time to finish the original (Argentina) second season into one.

The series is set in the Elite Way School, a prestigious private boarding high school near Mexico City, attended by the adolescent children of some of Mexico's wealthiest citizens (as well as gifted becados students with scholarships). The school's faculty and the parents often have their own subplots as well as the pupils. One feature of the show is the random use of English words and phrases to accurately display the rude manners and bufoonish behavior of the upper class.

One of the series' major plot-lines revolves around a group of students forming a band. The actors who play the members of this band have also formed a real band, RBD. Since this formation all of the show's music has been produced by RBD. RBD has been extremely successful in its own right, becoming one of the highest-grossing acts in Mexico.

The show is also notable for its extensive use of product placement. Characters on the show frequently drink bottles of Coca-Cola. Aside from RBD, the show has also featured guest appearances and performances from many other popular musicians, including Hilary Duff, Luney Tunes, Lenny Kravitz, JD Natasha, Tiziano Ferro and La Quinta Estacion. There have also been two excursions to luxury vacation resorts (Cozumel and the Banff Springs Hotel in Canada).

My wife is a big fan of the show. She records it all the time. Now that the World cup is on they have moved the time slot here in SoCal.
The music is ok, the outfits are great, and the girls are the best.
