but you still have to have IE installed
    not necessarily... http://support.microsoft.com/default...b;en-us;192852

though it's possible that you'll need it when you want to install services packs etc.

people, firefox is only really safe and reliable browser. MSIE sucks.... you don't know how. Try sufring some hacker or porn site, then check for trojans and worms..... a milions of them... while mozilla stops it....

I also vote for IE, since it's the smoothest running of all browsers. But I also like Netscape, since it's got a neat HTML composer system for building pages with for the web.

I used to have an Opera browser too that worked pretty good for awhile, but it was becoming more difficult to manage, as it developed some problems in loading javascript applets, and it took up too much room on my computer's hard disk drive, so I had to uninstall it. With any luck, I may be able to get an Opera browser again someday.

Running Mozilla Firefox at the moment, but missing alot of the features of Mozilla! Is it just the Windows build thats missing the ability to launch java console from the tools menu, and the ability to select which sites can set cookies (when a page first tries to set one, as opposed to just writing a huge list in the configuration window)?

I tried all of them and I best likes IE and Opera. Opera is so friendly and easy to use. I like that windows are based in one big Opera window :)

I just love opera because it's so easy to use and it never shows any pop-ups. I use firefox as an alternative for sites that aren't displayed correctly by opera. IE I never use, when you run it for 5 minutes you encounter at least 5 errors and get loads of pop-ups.
