Director Shaji Kailas is a busy man for sure. After two eminently forgettable releases, The King & the Commissioner and Simhasanam, he is ready with another, a laugh riot titled Madirasi.

The film has Jayaram playing the lead after a rather long break. The two were last seen together in Kilukkampetti, which was released in 1991. In fact, the two have already started the shooting for another film, after Madirasi was wrapped up, titled Ginger.

Meghna Raj and Meera Nandan play the heroines in Madirasi. Kalabhavan Mani, Tini Tom and Sasi Kalinga also include the cast. The film has been scripted by Rajesh Jayaraman. Shaji is the cinematographer.
