The Film and Television Institute of India, Pune, has invited applications for entrance tests to be conducted on May 19 at various centres, including Thiruvananthapuram, Chennai, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Pune, Mumbai, Delhi and Kolkata, for admission to postgraduate diploma courses in direction, cinematography, sound recording and sound design, editing, acting, art direction and production design and postgraduate certificate courses in feature film scriptwriting, direction, electronic cinematography, video editing, sound recording and TV engineering. Twelve seats are available for each programme. Graduates in any discipline can apply. However, those who desire to apply for the sound recording and sound design or the sound recording and TV engineering courses should have studied Physics as a subject at the Plus Two level. Graduates in Architecture and Fine Arts may apply for the postgraduate diploma course in Art Direction and Production Design. Those appearing for the qualifying examination in 2013 may also apply. The application fee is Rs. 2,150 (Rs. 650 for those belonging to the Scheduled Castes and the Scheduled Tribes and the financially backward).
