Race 2 collects Rs 51.35 crore over first weekend

Abbas-Mustan’s Race 2 might have opened to mixed reviews, but the film seems to be minting money at the box office. The action thriller has managed to earn Rs 51.35 crore in its opening weekend. Made at Rs 60 crore, the film released across 3,200 screens. It went on to earn Rs 15.12 crore on Friday (January 25, 2013)), Rs 20.72 crore Saturday (January 26, 2013) and Rs.15.51 crore Sunday (January 27, 2013).
The movie is a sequel to the 2008 film Race.
While Saif Ali Khan and Anil Kapoor reprise their roles, the the new additions to the franchise are John Abraham, Deepika Padukone, Jacqueline Fernandez and Ameesha Patel.
