Default Locating a mobile number in India

Tracing the mobile number becomes a vital part of the investigation process. Locating a mobile phone in real time is accessible only to authorized investigating officers due to privacy protection laws in India.

We want to trace a mobile number for reasons like annoying calls, blackmails, unknown number in a missed call list or similar. All mobile numbers in India are 10 digit long and have the prefix 9, 8 or 7. Telecom circle, operator and location can be found from the first 4 digits.

Default Tracking a person having a mobile phone in real time

The Global Positioning System (GPS) is a satellite-based navigation system made up of a network of 24 satellites placed into orbit by the U.S. Department of Defense. GPS works in any weather conditions, anywhere in the world, 24 hours a day. There are no subscription fees or setup charges to use GPS.

GPS satellites transmit two low power radio signals, designated L1 and L2 with a transmitter power is only 50 watt. Civilian GPS uses the L1 frequency of 1575.42 MHz in the UHF band.

GPS satellites (NAVSTAR) are powered by solar energy. They have backup batteries onboard to keep them running in the event of a solar eclipse, when there's no solar power. Small rocket boosters on each satellite keep them flying in the correct path.

Mobile phones can be tracked using GPS. A person's location in near real-time based on cell tower coordinates and digital maps is possible using special software. GPS tracking devices are fitted in vehicles will communicate to satellites and the location can be tracked. GPS receivers can relay position data to a PC too.

If you want to track a mobile phone, you must be the owner of the mobile. It should be GPS enabled and your service provider provide such service.

Only the service provider has the information regarding the radio tower information. When authorized investigating officer approach the service provider for information, they will provide the location of three radio towers which has used for communication with the mobile in question. Mobile phones randomly communicates with the nearby radio tower even when there is no calls made and updates the location. Once the location of tower is known, the person can be traced in it's vicinity.
