The Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka (COMEDK) has invited applications for its Undergraduate Entrance Test (UGET) to be held on May 12 for MBBS, BDS and BE courses in private unaided medical, dental and engineering colleges. Admission is open to students across the country. The test will be held in centres in Karnataka.

Eligibility

For the MBBS and BDS courses, the applicants should have passed Plus Two or equivalent examinations with minimum 50 per cent aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology and should have passed in each of these subjects. Applicants should have completed the age of 17 as on December 31, 2013.

For BE courses, the minimum eligibility is a pass in Plus Two or equivalent examinations with 45 per cent aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics and a pass in each subject. The test for the MBBS and BDS courses will have 60 questions each from Physics, Chemistry and Biology and 30 from English. Each correct answer will carry one mark.

There will be no negative marks for wrong answers. At least 50 per cent marks should be scored for finding a place on the rank list.

The test for the BE course will have 60 questions each from Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.

Apply online from March 12. The completed applications (printout) will be received till April 15. The admit card can be downloaded from April 24. The answer key will be released soon after the test. BHU admissions

Banaras Hindu University has invited applications from those who have registered for the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET-UG) for admission to the MBBS and BDS courses at the Institute of Medical Sciences, Varanasi. Admission will be done strictly on the basis of merit in the test.

The fee should be paid in the form of a demand draft drawn in favour of Director, IMS, BHU, payable at Varanasi.

The completed application along with the demand draft and documents should be sent to the Director, Institute of Medical Sciences, Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi – 221 005 by registered post so as to reach there on or before April 15.
