Delhi pacer Irfan Pathan got Suresh Raina caught behind to give Chennai second jolt at the score of 90 in the 13th over at Kotla.

Scorecard

Raina scored 30 and shared 60-run stand with Hussey for the second wicket. The duo consolidated Chennai after the dismissal of Murali Vijay.

Chennai crossed 100-run mark in the 14th overs.

Delhi pacer Morne Morkel gave first blow to Chennai Super Kings by scalping Murali Vijay (18) after a 30-run opening wicket stand.

Vijay slammed three boundaries during his 13-ball knock before getting trapped leg before in the sixth over.

Chennai Super Kings won the toss and elected to bat against Delhi Daredevils.

Both Delhi and Chennai have made two changes each. Ajit Agarkar replaces Ashish Nehra, while Jeevan Mendis comes in place of Ben Rohrer in Delhi's playing XI.

Chennai have brought in Michael Hussey in place of Dirk Nannes, who is ruled out because of injury. Anirudha Srikkanth is also out. He is replaced by Mohit Sharma.

After five consecutive losses, Delhi will try to get off the mark at their home ground against the two time champions.

It's hard to believe the Devils — who will be looking to stave off a sixth successive defeat — were a model of efficiency just last season, becoming the first to reach the playoffs.
