The Indian cricket board (BCCI) has again succeeded in getting the use of the Decision Review System (DRS) put off, thanks to Anil Kumble, the chairman of the ICC cricket committee.

The former Indian captain opposed the proposal to make DRS mandatory on the ground that the technology needed to the tested further, sources told TOI on Friday.

However, the ICC will continue to discuss DRS at its annual meeting which concludes on Saturday.

It was learnt that several members of the cricket committee were in favour of making DRS compulsory, but the BCCI had its way yet again despite facing a lot of pressure of late to fall in line.

Based on the suggestions given by the cricket committee, the chief executives committee will make recommendations to the ICC board.

"In the last ICC meeting, it was agreed that a work-style presentation of DRS and issues concerned would be discussed," sources said.
