A week ahead of its release the special screening of 'Lootera' was held recently which was attended by the cast and crew of the film as well as by other noted faces of B-town.

Besides, cast Ranveer Singh and Sonakshi Sinha, director Vikramaditya Motwane and producer Ekta Kapoor, the show was attended mostly by eminent filmmakers including Karan Karan Johar, Kiran Rao, Zoya Akhtar, R.Balki, Gauri Shinde and Anand L Rai among others.

While 'Lootera' impressed one and all, one who seemed to have been quite in awe with the film is Karan Johar. Being highly appreciative of 'Lootera' and its team, the B-town's most happening filmmaker wrote on his micro-blogging site thus: "Saw the superbly crafted and performed #LOOTERA...@sonakshisinha is a revelation!!! All accolades for vikram...team Phantom and team Balaji!"

Incidentally, the Lootera's makers are hosting multiple special screenings for select invitees, starting from recent weekend. It is a norm to showcase one's movies just a few days prior to the release but this time the makers have planned on having as many as 10-15 trial shows in Mumbai for industry and non-industry friends, starting substantially before the release. Actually, on watching the final cut, the makers were so pleased and confident that they decided to begin showing the film well in advance.

Directed by Vikramaditya Motwane under the banner of Balaji Motion Pictures and Phantom, 'Lootera' releases worldwide in cinemas on July 5.
