News is abuzz that Apoorva Lakhia's much anticipated remake of 'Zanjeer' is being planned to be released on September 6th.

Being simultaneously released in Telugu as 'Thoofan', the film has Tollywood star Ram Charan making his B-town debut and has Priyanka Chopra playing Mala. Sharing her excitement over the film, PC had tweeted recently, "So proud of being a part of #zanjeer @ApoorvaLakhia ! Thank U for a great journey..here's to a great destination!!!! Xoxo".

The first look trailer of 'Zanjeer' will be launched on 6th July. Adding to the anticipation, the director has posted a teaser poster of the film on his micro-blogging site and wrote: "Thoofan/Zanjeer.... Coming to u soon"...

The film is the remake of Amitabh Bachchan's 1973 super hit film, 'Zanjeer', also starring Pran and Jaya Bhaduri. Prakash Raj and Srihari (Telugu) will be seen in pivotal roles. Devi Sri Prasad, Anu Malik, Meet Bros Anjjan and Chirantan Bhatt are the music directors.
