    Default Positive Life Tips

Having negative thoughts play out like a movie can only bring you pain, something that I’ve experienced many times throughout my life. Here I’d like to share some Tips for Positive life.

It's hard to stay positive in the tough world of today. Every day we come across situations and people who remind us of the harsh realities of life. No one can avoid problems, but they can definitely determine how to face them. As famous graphic artist Mary Engelbreit said, 'If you don't like something change it; if you can't change it, change the way you think about it.' Here are some tips to stay positive in a negative world.

Tips to Staying Positive in A Negative World

    * Seek positive friends who are happy and hopeful. Surround your home and office with quotes on positivity.

    * Consciously avoid television programs and films that are negative. Read positive books with happy stories and the inspiring lives and thoughts of great people. Spiritual, emotional and mental wellbeing helps you stay happy even in the worst environments.

    * Your view determines everything. The world is the same for everyone. How is it that some make it while others don't? It's because the former saw possibilities where others only saw hardship and pain.

    * Even negative things have a positive side to them. Train your mind to concentrate on those. Losing your job is not all about losing your only source of income. It also means free time for family and all the things you always planned to do but never found the time for.

    * Learn to be grateful not just for something good but even for the negative because it teaches you something. As Oscar Wilde said, 'If you don't get everything you want, think of the things you don't get that you don't want.'

    * Accept that there is only so much that you can do. The rest is outside your control. So just shut out those things and forget about them.

Make a decision to be happy.

Happiness is a decision and decisions are powerful.

No matter how negative your thoughts are – you must realize that they are only thoughts and YOU control them.

Make a definite, determined, unshakable decision to live a happy life.

What if the negative thoughts creep back in?

Make another definite, determined, unshakable decision to live a happy life.

Change your beliefs and thoughts from negative to positive.

    Surround yourself with happy people.

How To Deal With Negative People

The vast majority of people you meet at life are nice, caring and considerate. They go out of their way to be polite, they help if they can and they truly care about the well-being of people around them.

But they are a minority of annoying , inconsiderate people too. Better way is to avoid these type of irritating people. Think they are out of our life. There can be many different reasons for negativity, including insecurity, low self-esteem, an abusive past, frustration in life, low confidence, etc.

Try to get close to these people; open your heart. If it hurts you too much, if it depresses you, maybe you need to step back.

    Why is self-esteem important?

Every individual needs to have self-esteem, quite simply because it affects every aspect of one’s life. Having a good self-esteem is essential, because:

    • It helps you feel good about yourself and everything you do.
    • It translates into belief in yourself, giving you the courage to try new things.
    • It allows you to respect and honour yourself, even when you make mistakes. And when you respect yourself, others will respect you too.
    • When you have a good self-esteem, you will know that you’re smart enough to make your own decisions.
    • When you honour yourself, you will make choices that nourish your mind and body.
    • You will value your safety, your feelings and health. Therefore, you will choose to make healthier eating choices, exercising, or taking time off to do something you like (without feeling guilty about not doing something for somebody else).
    • If you do not have a good self-esteem, then it’s time you worked on having a better image of yourself – thereby improving the overall quality of your life.
