Actress Priyanka Chopra has come a long way in the Bollywood industry. After delivering some great movies like Fashion, Barfi, 7 Khoon Maaf and a few more, PC is today considered as one of the most sought after actresses in the tinselville. That's not the end of it. Priyanka is also synonymous with the Bachchan remakes with her appearances in Don, Agneepath and now Zanjeer. Though her last two Big B remakes - Don and Agneepath turned out to be major hits, her latest Zanjeer has failed to impress the audience.

This film, which is a remake of the 1973 Zanjeer, features debutant Ram Charan Teja and Priyanka Chopra in the leads. In Zanjeer remake, Teja will be playing the police officer Vijay, which was portrayed by Amitabh Bachchan in the original, while Priyanka Chopra reprises Jaya Bachchan's role - Mala. PC, who considers herself as the Bachchan's remake queen was recently heard saying in an interview, "I have a good track record with the remakes, so I am the lucky mascot!" She also said that she has paid a tribute to Jaya Bachchan in the remake.

But, none of Priyanka's statements really match up to what has been shown in the movie. The Zanjeer remake, in one word, is miserable, and both Priyanka and Cherry's performances have been slammed by the film critics. If Ram Charan Teja is expressionless in the movie, Priyanka Chopra, who plays the role of a rich NRI lady is no way close to the legendary Jaya. Most of the reviewers claim that PC overdid herself this time and was too irritating at times.
