Kaanchi is an upcoming movie by the director GN Krishnakumar. As in all films, the main lead in the film is not any cast but it's a revolver! Yes, a rifle who is in search for someone to pull its trigger. The revolver has more reel time than any other cast in the film, says the director. Kaanchi has several storylines but it all ends up with the main lead the revolver. The director claims that though the movie poster ows it to be a complete thriller, Kaanchi is not completely a thrilling movie. It has more drama in it with less thriller. Kaanchi - More Drama, Less Thriller Kaanchi says a real life story and so the movie has used a real gun throughout the film.

The amount of graphics used is alos very less. Indrajith plays a grocery shop owner Madhavan in the film, who is an introvert. His life takes a sudden turn following an unexpected incident and within no time he is dragged into the centre of a soaring turmoil. Murali Gopi appears on screen as Peringodan Narayanan. He is a landlord and will be seen in a new avatar. Sudheer Karamana as C I Mathew, Archana Gupta , Joy Mathew, Shine Tom Chacko, P Balachandran and Sathar are also part of the cast. The movie is completely shot in Palakkad and has only one location. A pistol is very common in cities and so the director wished to shoot the entire film.

Krishnakumar gives the full credit of the movie to the scriptwriter Jeymohan. The director belives that the movie has a brillinat script. This will be his first mainstream Malayalam film exclusively aimed at the mass audience. The film produced by Haneef Muhammed under the banner of Red Rose Creations hit the screens this week.
