The frequent glitches encountered by candidates while attempting to register online for National Eligibility Test have forced the University Grants Commission (UGC) to extend the last date of application till November 4, 2013. Though UGC had earlier fixed October 30 as the last date. But for the last few days, NET aspirants were facing difficulty in registering online for the exam due to heavy cyber traffic. The UGC, every year, proposes that students register earlier itself for avoiding the last-minute rush. However, many candidates wait for the last week for online registration. The high number of applicants brings the servors down and hence, ever since the registration was made online, UGC has been extending the last date.

The UGC has also extended the last date of submission of fee through online-generated Bank Challan to November 07. The fee can be paid at any branch of State Bank of India. The last date of taking printout of Application Form, Attendance Slip and Admit Card from UGC website is November 10 and last date for receiving the printout of online application form at the respective Coordinating University opted by the candidate is November 14.
