Gujarat National Law University (GNLU) will conduct CLAT 2014 examination on May 11, 2014. For the first time, CLAT will see online application and later Centralized Online Counselling for admission. The participating Universities are: NLSIU, Bangalore (Karnataka); NALSAR, Hyderabad (Andhra Pradesh); NLIU, Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh); WBNUJS, Kolkata (West Bengal); NLU, Jodhpur (Rajasthan); HNLU, Raipur (Chattisgarh); RMLNLU, Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh); RGNUL, Patiala (Punjab); CNLU, Patna (Bihar); NUALS, Kochi (Kerala); NLUO, Cuttack (Odisha); NUSRL, Ranchi (Jharkhand); NLUJA,Guwahati (Assam).

Approximately 31,000 students appeared in 2013 CLAT examination for about 1,600 seats in these NLUs. GNLU is expecting more than 35,000 students in 2014 CLAT.

The first Admission Notification of CLAT-2014 will be issued in the month of December, 2013. The Application Forms and Information Brochure will be accessible from 1st January 2014 (Wednesday). The submission of online Application Forms can be done between January 1, 2014 (Wednesday) to 31st March, 2014 (Monday, 11:59 pm). The fees to be remitted while submitting the Application Form of CLAT-2014 shall be as per the following: For General/OBC/PWD and other category candidates: Rs 4000; For SC/ST category candidates: Rs 3500.

The eligibility criteria for candidates (Indian Nationals only) seeking admission through CLAT-2014 in Undergraduate Courses are:

(a) The candidate by 1st July 2014 must not have attained the age of:
(i) Twenty (20) years in case of General/OBC/Persons with Disability (PWD) and Other category candidates, and
(ii) Twenty Two (22) years in case of SC/ST category candidates
(b) As regards minimum percentage of marks in qualifying examination (i.e. 10+2), the candidates must have secured:
(i) Forty five percent (45%) marks in case belongs to General/OBC/PWD and other category, and
(ii) Forty Percent (40%) marks in case belongs to SC/ST category.
(c) The result of qualifying examination (i.e. 10+2) shall be submitted by the candidate at the time of admission failing which the candidate shall be ineligible for admission to the Course. No provisional admission shall be provided to those candidates who are not submitting the result of the qualifying examination (i.e. 10+2) at the time of admission.
(d) Those appearing in qualifying examination in March/April 2014 are also eligible to apply. No provisional admission shall be provided to those candidates who are not submitting the result of the qualifying examination at the time of admission/within the timeframe prescribed by the respective Universities/ Institutes.

The Admission Test will be conducted at 21 cities (cities of the 14 participating Universities + 7 cities such as Jaipur, Chandigarh, Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Jammu and Siliguri).
