Department of Chemistry, Indian Institute of Technology Ropar, Nangal Road, Rupnagar-140001, Punjab has invited applications for research fellowships viz. RA / SRF / JRF to the CSIR sponsored project entitled ‘Development of novel transition metal complexes with pincer-type ligands for splitting of water’
The selected candidate may be permitted to register for PhD program as per the existing institute rules. The project involves design and synthesis of pincer-type ligands and their organometallic complexes for catalytic water splitting.

RA / SRF / JRF:
Essential Qualifications: As per CSIR Guidelines
JRF: MSc (Chemistry) or equivalent degree with minimum 55% marks and must have qualified NET or GATE.
SRF: MSc (Chemistry) or equivalent degree with minimum 60% marks and at least two years of post-MSc research experience as evidenced from published papers in standard refereed journals.
RA: Submitted or awarded PhD in Chemistry or equivalent degree.

Age Limit: The upper age limit for award of RA / SRF shall be 35 years and for JRF shall be 28 years. The upper age limit is relaxable up to 5 years in the case of applicants belonging to scheduled castes / tribes, women, physically handicapped and OBC candidates.
