Indian School of Mines Dhanbad, Jharkhand, has invited applications for admission to the two-year full timeMBA programme for 2014-16. Applicant should hold a Bachelor’s Degree after 10+2, in any discipline from a recognized institution, with at least 50% marks in aggregate or equivalent CGPA (45% in case of those belonging to SC, ST and DA-Differently Abled Categories (also referred to as Persons with Disability (PD)). For Honours graduates, the aggregate will include marks of both Honours and Pass Papers.
Those appearing for the final Bachelor’s Degree/equivalent qualification examination can also apply. Preference will be given to those having first class in Engineering Degree or having Post Graduation qualification in any discipline with first class. Applicants should also have a valid CAT 2013 score. Application fee is Rs. 2000/- (Rs.1000/- for SC/ST and PD candidates).

Filled-in application form along with requisite fee through Demand Draft drawn in favour of ‘Registrar, Indian School of Mines’ and payable at Dhanbad and otherrelevant documents,should reach the ‘Deputy Registrar (Exam & Academic), Indian School of Mines, Dhanbad, Jharkhand–826004’, latest by 5 pm on February 28, 2014. Those short-listed on the basis of CAT 2013 scores will be called for final selection based onGroup Discussion and Interview to be held on April 24 & 25, 2014.


The results will be declared in the website by May 12, 2014. The date of Admission for Merit List Candidates is June 4, 2014 and that for wait list candidates, is June 6, 2014. Applicants have to report to the office by 11 am on the respective dates.



ISM will not issue any letter to any candidate regardingattending GD/PI as well as selection to the Program. Applicants mustconsult ISM website,
in this regard orfor any updates, if any.

The sanctioned strength for the MBA Program is 62. Seats are reserved for different categories as per the reservation policy of Government of India meant for higher educational institutions. Those applying for reservation under OBC (Non Creamy layer) categoryshould submit a valid OBC certificate issued by competent authority issued after January 1, 2014 and as per the format specified.
