made somebody moderator in phpBB??

Have anybody sucessfully made a person a moderator yet in phpBB2?
i been reading tutorials and found the right steps, but the server just wouldn't do it. after chose the option of "Is Moderator".
submit and after that the same "Not Moderator" comes back again
i just want to know if anybody had success in doing this

You have to go to the Administration Panel, then to User Admin>Permissions.
From that screen you can set a user to Moderate various forums. PM me if you still have trouble, and I'll send you some images explaining what to do :)

The easiest way to fix this would be to run the installation again to create the db and tables.
