Default A user can't post through being BLACKLISTED.

Hi all, a user of my forum has emailed me to say that when they tryto post, they get a message stating along the lines of...

The ISP (6 *******) has BLACKLISTED as it has been connected with spam words in it's emails,

    24 hour blacklist.

Could someone explain what this is? and can I remove it, please? Because nothing is showing in my admin control.

PS. this is a trusted member that i know will not send spam.

    Many Thanks.

I'm having the same issue. Is there a way to disable this? I know everyone on my site.

Bump! I have been admin at phpbb boards hosted by various sites for seven years and never seen such a crazy issue.

I have a newer member who cannot submit a post and has an error message saying she is a spammer and her ip is now banned! She had three posts. This auto filter for spammers is nutso guys.

First off she didn't have any links or pictures in the post so what gives here!

I guess if no one else is getting a response to shut off these modifications to prevent "spam" then I won't either.

Question: Why does this phpbb board have capcha to deal with these issues but, our boards get the weird spam filter member banning thing? I'd rather have just capcha. And yes, I know how hard phpbb boards have been hit but, this is not the answer. Admin activation and capcha will usually work for most all things.

Come ON! This has been a real waste of time to set up a board and find this has been an issue for a long while and no one is getting a response.

I can't fix the issue for this member and being a new board, I'd rather not run off new members with frustrating issues that I cannot fix myself!

    Please remove these untested mods!
